Job Description

• The Gender & Safeguarding Officer will support the inclusion of women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Ethnocentrique’s programs while ensuring a safe and empowering environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Implement gender inclusion strategies for program participants.
• Integrate gender-sensitive practices into training and mentorship programs.
• Develop tools and resources to promote gender equity.
• Conduct safeguarding risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Organize awareness campaigns and training on safeguarding policies.
• Build partnerships with community organizations and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with global gender and safeguarding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in gender equality, safeguarding, or inclusion programs.
• Strong understanding of gender-sensitive policies and risk mitigation.
• Experience working with marginalized groups, especially women and PWDs.
• Commitment to ethical standards and participant safety.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
