Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support business decisions.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Financial Management:
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the financial operations of the company, including accounting, tax, treasury, and payroll functions.
- Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Oversee risk management policies, including insurance and risk mitigation strategies.
Investment and Capital Management:
- Manage the company’s capital structure, investments, and relationships with investors, banks, and other financial partners.
- Lead initiatives for fundraising, including debt and equity financing.
- Evaluate and advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other growth opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Promote a collaborative culture that fosters innovation and problem-solving across finance and other departments.
- Establish clear performance goals, benchmarks, and processes for the finance team.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide regular updates to the CEO, board of directors, and other stakeholders on the company’s financial performance.
- Communicate complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner to internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation for audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. ACAis required. An MBA, CPA, or other relevant certifications is a plus.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (preferably as a CFO or similar role).
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, corporate finance, risk management, and financial modeling.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing finance team and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide insightful financial guidance to shape business decisions.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
