Job Title: History Teacher IGCSE

Location: MaryLand, Lagos

Position Overview

• We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our academic team. 
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching history at the IGCSE level, with the ability to deliver engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and a deep understanding of historical events and contexts.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging history lessons that cater to the abilities of all students and align with the IGCSE syllabus.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote a passion for history and encourage analytical thinking.

Assessment and Monitoring:

• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of students.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating achievements.

Classroom Management:

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters active participation, respect, and inclusivity among students.
• Maintain high standards of student behavior, ensuring all students feel safe and are engaged in the learning process.

Professional Development:

• Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in history education and the IGCSE curriculum.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in History or a related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 3 years teaching IGCSE History.
• Strong understanding of the IGCSE curriculum and examination requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
