Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

Job Overview

  • As the Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. 
  • You will lead a team of staff members, ensure customer satisfaction, manage inventory, enforce company policies, and maintain high standards of service. 
  • Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of operations and the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Supervise and lead the restaurant team, including kitchen staff, servers, and other employees, to ensure efficient and effective service.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and employee performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Address any issues or conflicts within the team, ensuring a harmonious work environment.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Ensure high standards of customer service by leading by example, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues promptly, resolving them in a professional and effective manner.
  • Monitor the quality of food and service, ensuring that the restaurant maintains an exceptional reputation.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Manage restaurant inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Monitor and control restaurant expenses, ensuring that operational costs are kept within budget.

Financial Oversight:

  • Assist in generating daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, providing insights to the management team.
  • Implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Quality Control & Cleanliness:

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen, and restrooms, according to health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the restaurant meets company standards for hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained and repaired as necessary to avoid disruptions in service.

Marketing & Promotion:

  • Support promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to boost restaurant visibility and attract new customers.
  • Create a positive and engaging atmosphere for guests, encouraging repeat business.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality or quick service restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints and ensure a positive dining experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety, inventory control, and financial management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and restaurant management software.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and health and safety regulations is an advantage.
