Job Overview

  • We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee the financial operations of the business.
  • The Finance Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, development of internal control policies and procedures, financial risk management and guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions for long and short term plans respectively.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Monitor financial performance and analyze reports to guide strategic decisions
  • Lead financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee cash flow management and maintain relationships with financial institutions
  • Collaborate with various departments to optimize financial processes
  • Review posting of transactions on ERP
  • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Generate accounting reports and backup operations

Tax Management:

  • Monitor and evaluate disclosures in Financial Statements and various transactions to ensure an equilibrium in cashflow and compliance with tax laws.
  • Review of projects, transactions and contracts for compliance with all tax rules and regulations.
  • Prepare employees PAYE and review of payments periodically, to ensure accuracy.
  • Keep abreast of changes in all aspects of the laws and regulation of taxes in Nigeria, as it affects the business and initiate necessary changes.
  • Responsible for the management of tax records, advising, setting and implementing tax strategies across the business.

Requirements

  • BSc in Accounting / Finance
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • Core accounting skills

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of progressive finance experience
  • ICAN or other accounting certification (Compulsory)
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
  • Experience in the Civil and Construction Industry (preferred)
