Job Description

  • We are now recruiting for the position of an Artistic Director with special interest in (Dance, Choreography, and Routines) who will lead the creative vision and artistic direction of a dance company, overseeing choreography, rehearsals, performances, and ensuring the artistic integrity of all productions, while also managing the company's artistic resources.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation and development of new choreography, working closely with choreographers and dancers.
  • Direct and manage rehearsals, ensuring that dancers are well-trained and prepared for performances.
  • Provide constructive feedback to dancers and choreographers to improve performance quality.
  • Conduct auditions and select dancers, choreographers, and other artistic staff.
  • Manage our artistic resources, including dancers, choreographers, and other staff.
  • Provide mentorship and support to dancers and other artistic staff
  • Oversee all aspects of dance performances, from pre-production to post-performance.
  • Ensure that performances are technically sound and artistically compelling.
  • Manage the schedule of performances and events.
  • Develop and manage the artistic budget.
  • Negotiate contracts and deals with vendors and partners.
  • Ensure that the company's operations are running efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Must have a Degree or HND
  • Female candidates only
  • Extensive experience in dance, choreography, and performance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of artists and staff.
  • A passion for dance and the arts.
  • A strong understanding of dance history, theory, and practice.
  • Knowledge of dance styles and techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing artistic programs and projects.
  • Candidates should send a photograph standing beside a vehicle or standing next to the door of a house for height reference.
