Job Title: Crane Technician
Location: Nationwide
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on offshore cranes and lifting equipment.
- Ensure all crane operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
- Support operational efficiency by maintaining crane availability and reliability.
- Develop technical knowledge through continuous training and on-the-job learning.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on offshore cranes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on cranes.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new crane systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE and operational procedures.
- Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and supervisors on repair projects.
- Report defects, malfunctions, and required repairs to the supervisor.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for crane operations.
- Support inventory management by identifying required spare parts.
General Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in crane maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical crane systems
- Basic knowledge of offshore operations and safety protocols
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
