Job Summary

• The Safety Patroller specializing in Fire Fighting is responsible for supporting the implementation of fire safety protocols and ensuring readiness in case of fire-related emergencies within the organization.
• The ideal candidate will also engage in fire prevention activities, maintain equipment and participate in training activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, including fires, rescues and medical emergencies.
• Fight fires using various techniques, equipment and strategies.
• Participate in rescue operations, including search and rescue and provide medical assistance.
• Inspect buildings and equipment to identify potential fire hazards.
• Maintain fire-fighting equipment, vehicles and facilities.
• Participate in training exercises, drills and simulations.
• Engage in fire prevention activities, including public education and outreach.
• Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and medical personnel.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

• SSCE / OND in relevant discipline
• Certification in Fire Safety and Protection from a recognized body.
• At least three (3) years of experience in fire safety roles or similar positions.

Skills and Behaviours:

• In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and practices.
• possess a valid driver's license.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and recommend solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in emergency situations.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
