Job Summary
- The Safety Patroller specializing in Fire Fighting is responsible for supporting the implementation of fire safety protocols and ensuring readiness in case of fire-related emergencies within the organization.
- The ideal candidate will also engage in fire prevention activities, maintain equipment and participate in training activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls, including fires, rescues and medical emergencies.
- Fight fires using various techniques, equipment and strategies.
- Participate in rescue operations, including search and rescue and provide medical assistance.
- Inspect buildings and equipment to identify potential fire hazards.
- Maintain fire-fighting equipment, vehicles and facilities.
- Participate in training exercises, drills and simulations.
- Engage in fire prevention activities, including public education and outreach.
- Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and medical personnel.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- SSCE / OND in relevant discipline
- Certification in Fire Safety and Protection from a recognized body.
- At least three (3) years of experience in fire safety roles or similar positions.
Skills and Behaviours:
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and practices.
- possess a valid driver's license.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and recommend solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety and prevention.
