Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Permanent / Full time

Job Description

• Lead and oversee the design, planning, execution, and commissioning of oil and gas projects.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery within scope and cost.
• Provide technical input for engineering designs, construction, and maintenance.
• Evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of proposed technologies and methodologies.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and project sponsors.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Civil, or Chemical Engineering preferred)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas project engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing upstream projects in complex and remote environments.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is mandatory.
• Professional membership in an engineering body (e.g., COREN, NSE), HSE certification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of upstream oil and gas operations, including drilling, production, and facilities engineering.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, and ISO standards).
