Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently, we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Asset Planning, Economics & Performance Analysis Lead

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Permanent / Full time

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive asset plans, including long-term production forecasts, capital expenditures planning, and resource allocation to ensure optimal asset performance and alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct economic evaluations of development projects, including NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Coordinate financial modelling process to assess the viability and profitability of new and existing assets, including field development plans, and cost optimization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree or professional certification e.g., SPE, PMP, CFA, etc. is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 (ten) years quality experience in asset management, economic analysis, or performance evaluation within an upstream oil and gas company.
  • Strong knowledge of economic modelling, financial analysis, and investment appraisal techniques specific to the oil & gas sector.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in capital budgeting, cost analysis, and investment appraisal.
  • Understanding of reservoir engineering, production operations, and oil and gas industry dynamics, including knowledge of reserves reporting standards.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing long-term asset plans that optimize production and maximize value.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks associated with asset development and management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, and corporate strategies, responding effectively to new challenges and opportunities.
