Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Description

  • We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support our maintenance and production teams by ensuring the efficient operation of mechanical systems and machinery. 
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery in production areas.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and breakdowns, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and avoid unexpected failures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with engineers and production teams to optimize machine performance.
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs and records of performed repairs and inspections.
  • Operate hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical instruments as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Stay updated with emerging mechanical technologies and maintenance best practices.

Requirements

  • National Diploma (ND), Technical Certification, or Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, machine operation, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.
  • Hands-on experience with welding, machining, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, maintenance best practices, and equipment handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
