We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Coordinator (Agricultural Systems Resilience Enhancement Project-EWS)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project's coordination, planning, and implementation in close collaboration with a consortium of local and international partners.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive project governance and management framework to ensure effective execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Facilitate collaboration and partnerships among key stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutes, and technical partners.
  • Ensure the project's strategic direction, resource allocation, and policy alignment through regular engagement with the project steering committee and funders.
  • Oversee project reporting, documentation, and knowledge sharing to ensure transparency, accountability, and lessons learned.
  • Manage project risks, conflicts, and resolution, ensuring project objectives and targets are met.
  • Supervise project staff, consultants, and partners to ensure their effective contribution to project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Agriculture, Environmental Science, Project Management, International Development).
  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex development projects, preferably related to climate adaptation, agriculture, or resilience.
  • Strong understanding of climate change adaptation, early warning systems, and their application in agriculture and rural development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, technical partners, and community representatives.
  • Experience in building and managing multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaborations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
