Provost at the Katsina State College of Nursing Sciences

The Katsina State College of Nursing and Midwifery was curved-out of the former Katsina State College of Health Sciences in 2013 by Katsina State Law No. 13 of November 2013 and Katsina State Law No. 11 of 1st August 2019. However, despite the law, the College did not take-off until the year 2015. The College has its temporary headquarters located at No. 25, Nagoggo Road, GRA, Katsina and has two satellite Colleges, namely; Kasimu Kofar Bai College of Nursing Sciences, Satellite Campus  Katsina and Nana Babajo College Of Nursing Sciences, Satellite Campus Malumfashi.

Job Title: Provost

Location: Katsina

Responsibilities

• The Provost shall be the Chief Executive, Academic and Chief Accounting Officer of the College and ex- officio member of the Governing Council.

Qualifications and Experience
The applicant must meet up the following qualities:

• He must be a Chief Lecturer, registered and licensed with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
• He must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Sciences plus MSc and PhD Degree in relevant field from a recognized institution
• He must not be more than sixty (60) years of age; and
• He must be an indigene of Katsina State.
• Candidates must have minimum of eighteen years cognate working experience.

Salary

• The remuneration package for the post of the Provost is a consolidated salary structure as obtained in ister institutions.

Term of Appointment

• The Provost shall be appointed for a term of Four (4) years from the date of his appointment and he may be reappointed for another Four (4) years and no more.
