Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Ogun

Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to support our maintenance and production teams by ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment. 
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical components and machinery to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, machines, and control panels.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical faults, wiring issues, and circuit malfunctions.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and maintenance staff to optimize machine efficiency.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Operate electrical testing tools and equipment to diagnose system issues accurately.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports for record-keeping and future reference.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for electrical system optimization.

Requirements

  • National Diploma (ND), Technical Certification, or Trade Test in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, motor controls, and industrial automation.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems, electrical panels, and power distribution is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
