Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high-quality food presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. 
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes following the restaurant's recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, offering suggestions for new dishes.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and control food costs to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff, as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cook or in a related role.
  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary trends.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as needed.
