Job Title: QA / QC Engineer (CNC Steel and Pipe Steel)

Location: Lagos

Summary

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our CNC steel and pipe steel products, including precision-engineered components, complex shapes, seamless and welded pipes. 
• The QA/QC Inspector will work closely with production teams to identify and address quality issues, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of CNC steel and pipe steel products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to prevent defects and ensure quality consistency.
• Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify and report defects, non-conformities, and quality issues to production teams, supervisors, and quality managers.
• Corrective Action: Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and certification documents.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customer requirements are met, and customer complaints are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in the steel industry.
• Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, API, and ASME.
• Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
