Job Description   

The St. Bridget's Schools, one of the leading private institutions in Nigeria, has been licensed to develop a tertiary institution for adult education that shall be known as the St. Bridget’s Institute. The Institute will consist of the following schools that shall provide training in the following areas:
  • The College of General Studies: This school will give students a general education that will set the foundational standard necessary to excel in their chosen fields of study.
  • The College of Lifelong Learning: This school will target personal development and retirees who are often ignored once they leave services in developing countries such as Nigeria.
  • The School of Technical Sciences: This school will focus on teaching technical skills such as welding, automotive technologies, culinary arts, woodwork and metal fabrication.
  • The School of Business & Management: This school will be for working professionals looking to acquire additional skills. This school will provide courses in teacher education, digital & computing technologies, as well as enterprise and business development.
  • The School of Creative Arts:This school will focus on entertainment industry, creating highly skills professional that will be in front and behind the camera.
The Dean of the School of Creative Arts is the chief academic and administrative officer of the school and is responsible for ensuring the standard of operations in the school are consistent with those of the Institute. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinating the development of academic programs within the school.
  • Promoting and serving as a model for teaching professional achievement and professional service.
  • Supervising all efforts involving personnel including recruiting, termination, faculty evaluation, promotion etc…
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with faculty and administration in all areas of the school.
  • Participating in student recruitment, selection, and admission, making admissions recommendations when required Building and maintaining effective communication between students and faculty with the school.
  • Ensuring the adherence of all faculty members and students to school policies and procedures and ensuring that all practices are consistent with those of the Institute.
  • Promoting the school by participating in community, state, and national events or meetings, and by developing partnerships with industry and secondary education institutions.
  • Reporting to the Provost and board of trustees.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Educational background in the Educational Administration, Business Management, The Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success leading advancement operations in an educational institution.
  • Prior leadership skills in development, implementation and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to partnership and collaborating with higher education institution.
