We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Cake Decorator

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand their cake design preferences and special requests.
• Assist in designing and decorating cakes, cupcakes, and desserts according to customer specifications.
• Prepare and apply different types of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake type.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in cake decorating, flavors, and presentation.
• Ensure that all decorating tools, utensils, and equipment are properly maintained.
• Maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
• Manage and execute decoration for various cake styles, including fondant, buttercream, butter icing, and specialty desserts.
• Take inventory of baking and decorating supplies and coordinate with the store manager for restocking.
• Assist in training students and interns in cake decorating techniques when necessary.
• Craft flowers, edible decorations, and other accessories for cake designs.
• Decorate regular bakery items according to bakery standards.
• Ensure that display refrigerators are clean, polished, and well-stocked with cakes and desserts.
• Keep the workstation organized and clean at all times.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Operations Manager and Creative Director.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree / HND with 1 - 2 years relevant experience
• Experience in cake decorating or completion of a relevant training program is preferred.
• Strong artistic ability and creativity in cake design.
• Knowledge of different icing and frosting techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and a passion for baking and decorating.

Requirements:

• Must live very close to Bodija, Ibadan.
• Work hours are 8:30am to 6pm daily with 30 mins break.

Salary & Benefits

• 23 work days in a month. 2 days free in a week.
• HMO
• Salary increase every 12 months
• N100,000 per month
• cake decorating: 2 years (Required)
