Job Title: Structural Fitter / Welder - Oil & Gas Construction Project

Location: Port Harcourt / Offshore, Rivers / Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

• The Structural Fitter / Welder will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and welding of structural components for construction support services on the client facilities.
• The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient execution of fitting and welding tasks, in compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural Fitting and Welding: Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural components according to project specifications.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all fitting and welding activities adhere to HES (Health, Environment, and Safety) standards and Company procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of fitting and welding activities, including inspection reports and certification documents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to fitting and welding promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: OND or School Certificate.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of offshore work experience as a Structural Fitter / Welder.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in structural fitting and welding techniques and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Certifications:

• OPITO Basic Offshore Survival Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
• Additional certifications in welding inspection or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) are an advantage.
