Job Summary
- The Sales& Marketing Officer is responsible for driving sales of trucks and maintenance services, identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- The role requires a strong understanding of the trucking industry, excellent sales skills, and the ability to meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and field visits.
- Identify and engage potential customers, including fleet operators, logistics companies, and individuals.
- Present, promote, and sell trucks and maintenance services to prospective clients.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Follow up on leads and inquiries to convert prospects into customers.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable truck models and maintenance packages.
- Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and complaints promptly to maintain a positive reputation.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify business opportunities.
- Conduct market research to understand customer preferences and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Provide feedback to management regarding market trends and customer demands.
Sales Administration & Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to track performance and target achievement.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of customers and prospects.
- Process sales orders, contracts, and necessary documentation.
- Work closely with the finance and service teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3years experience in truck sales, automotive sales, or related fields.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of truck brands, models, and maintenance services.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel for client visits.
