Job Title: Backend Developer

Location: Lagos (Fully Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems and APIs.
• Design and implement scalable and secure architecture solutions.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and third-party integrations.
• Follow software development best practices, including writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Utilize version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate with the team.
• Deploy and manage cloud-based applications using GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Stay updated on security best practices in web development to protect sensitive data.
• Work independently while collaborating with a team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, Go).
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in web development.

Salary
N70,000 Monthly.
