Job Title: Procurement officer
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Reports to: Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager
Job Summary
- Source and procure goods, services, and works, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition, while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Procurement Planning: Develop procurement plans, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and objectives.
- Tendering and Bidding: Manage tendering and bidding processes, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and negotiations to ensure best value for the organization.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and laws.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Certifications: Certifications, such as Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), are desirable.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in procurement or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Procurement Knowledge: Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Contract Management: Ability to develop, negotiate, and manage contracts.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meeting deadlines.
Working Conditions
- Office Environment*: Work in an office environment, with occasional travel to meet with suppliers or attend procurement events.
- Standard Hours: Standard hours, with occasional overtime or flexible scheduling.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and team members to achieve procurement objectives.
