Job Summary
- The role is responsible for the development, implementation, and operationalization of gas infrastructure projects, including Virtual Pipeline (VPL) system, as part of drive to ensure the successful take-off.
- This role ensures the successful execution of gas projects from concept to commissioning and commercialization, driving
- Operational excellence ,revenue growth, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Implementation:
- Oversee feasibility studies, business case development, and project structuring for new gas infrastructure initiatives.
- Spearhead engineering design, procurement, and construction phases, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Develop and manage relationships with EPC contractors, technology providers, and key project stakeholders.
Project Execution & Delivery:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of gas infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and cost- effective delivery.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Ensure projects adhere to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, resolving bottlenecks to ensure seamless execution.
Virtual Pipeline Operations:
- Supervise the development, deployment, and optimization of virtual pipeline infrastructure.
- Ensure efficient gas compression, transportation, storage, and distribution processes.
- Implement digital tracking, monitoring, and optimization tools for virtual pipeline efficiency.
Commercialization & Business Strategy:
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities for gas infrastructure assets, ensuring profitability and market expansion.
- Engage with industrial, commercial, and power sector off-takers for long-term gas supply agreements.
- Secure long-term gas contracts with feedstock gas suppliers
- Develop tariff structures, pricing strategies, and business models for gas infrastructure commercialization.
- Collaborate with finance and business development teams to structure investment partnerships and funding mechanisms.
Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Nanagement:
- Ensure adherence to national and regional gas industry regulations and policies.
- Oversee the procurement of all regulatory licenses and permits required for seamless operation of gas assets/plants
- Develop strong relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and industry associations.
- Lead engagement with community stakeholders, ensuring social license to operate.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Build and lead ahigh-performing project execution team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Implement and embed dashboard for monitoring KPls and performance metrics to track execution efficiency.
- Develop capacity-building programs to enhance technical and managerial competencies.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or Engineering Management is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in gas infrastructure projects or energy project execution.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale gas projects from concept to commercial operation.
- Strong knowledge of LNG/CNG virtual pipelines, gas compression, and distribution systems.
- Experience in project financing, EPC contract management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiating gas supply agreements and commercialization strategies.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
