Job Title: Electrical Site Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full-time

Roles / Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the planning, design, installation, and commissioning of all Electrical systems
• Ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards
• Adhering to relevant building regulations and safety procedures
• Managing subcontractors, and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Carry out comprehensive value engineering.
• Develop detailed project plans, including workshop drawings, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for Electrical systems and as-built drawings.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall building
• Ensuring electrical equipment and materials is in compliance with project specifications
• Address any technical challenges or deviations from the project plan on-site.
• Conduct inspections of electrical installation to verify compliance with design drawings and building codes.
• Coordinate and oversee the testing and commissioning process for all electrical systems.
• Ensure proper documentation of commissioning reports and handover procedures.
• Ensure all safety protocols on site
• Attend all project meetings, respond to queries from the consultant, prepare weekly progress reports and send to the consultant and the management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Experience in oil and gas industry is an added advantage
• NSE and COREN is an added advantage
• Proficiency in electrical system design, installation, and commissioning.
• Ability to manage projects, teams, and stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate with consultants and management.
