We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Landscaping Gardener

Location: Ilara-Mokin, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Plant, cultivate, and maintain flowers, shrubs, lawns, and trees across the facility.
• Mow lawns, edge borders, and trim hedges and trees as required.
• Regularly weed flowerbeds, remove dead plants, and replace as needed.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in accordance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Water plants, grass, and trees appropriately, considering seasons and climate.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, and sprinklers.
• Install new landscaping features as instructed—flower beds, pathways, fencing, garden furniture, etc.
• Clear pathways and walkways of leaves, debris, and overgrowth to ensure safety.
• Monitor plant health and report any issues such as pests, diseases, or irrigation problems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards while performing duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO.
• Proven experience as a gardener or landscaper.
• Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and seasonal gardening.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with the safe use of gardening tools and machinery.
• Basic understanding of landscaping design principles is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
