Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Role Description

• We are seeking a highly meticulous and proactive Finance Manager to support financial operations across Ashcorp. 
• This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with statutory regulations, and alignment with business objectives.
• Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day finance operations, improving financial discipline, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, journal entries, and cash positions.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings to ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with IFRS.
• Monitor and maintain balance sheet reconciliations to reflect true financial position.
• Oversee tax-related activities including preparation, filing, and responding to related inquiries in collaboration with consultants and internal teams.
• Ensure internal control processes are followed, mitigating risk and safeguarding company assets.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and audit-ready records for all accounting transactions.
• Prepare and manage prepayment and amortization schedules ensuring proper period allocations.
• Support budget monitoring and variance analysis, promoting accountability across departments.
• Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide timely and accurate financial information for decision-making.

Qualification and Key Competencies

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or its equivalent from an accredited higher institution.
• A qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA
• Minimum of 7 years experience in Financial Management.
• Master’s in accounting or a related field is an added advantage
• Excellent project management and budget management skills.
