Job Title: Accountant

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Accountant will manage and report the company's financial data. 
• This includes preparing financial statements, examining and analysing accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting management in making financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments
• Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
• Manage payroll and related records
• Analyse financial data and provide reports to management
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely payments
• Advise on cost reductions, financial efficiencies, and budgeting strategies

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification (added advantage)

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally) and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Integrity and professionalism.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance
• Experience working with accounting systems and ERP solutions (preferred)

Other Requirements:

• Age Limit of 25 - 35 years
• Must be detail-oriented with strong financial acumen
• Must have a track record of integrity and confidentiality
• Must be ready to undergo a background check.
