Job Title: CCTV Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Our ideal candidate will be an experienced CCTV Engineer capable of designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.
• He or she will have a strong background in electronics, networking, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Installation: Design and install CCTV systems, including cameras, recorders, monitors, and networking equipment.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CCTV systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• System Upgrades: Upgrade and modify existing CCTV systems to meet changing security requirements.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to clients and internal staff on CCTV system operation and maintenance.
• Network Configuration: Configure and manage network settings for CCTV systems, including IP addressing, subnetting, and port forwarding.
• Camera Installation: Install and configure IP cameras, including dome, bullet, and PTZ cameras.
• Recording and Storage: Configure and manage digital video recorders (DVRs) and network video recorders (NVRs) for video storage and retrieval.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with CCTV systems, including camera, recording, and networking problems.
• Compliance: Ensure CCTV systems comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of CCTV system installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in CCTV system design, installation, and maintenance.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, networking protocols, and electronics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team.
• Possession of certifications such as CCNA, while not mandatory, may be an advantage.

Work Environment:

• Work in a fast-paced service environment with frequent deadlines.
• Travel may be required for on-site installations and maintenance.
• Work in an office or field environment, depending on specific job requirements.
