Job Title: Hotel Accountant

About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hotel Accountant to manage the financial operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate recordkeeping, timely financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls and hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and daily revenue reports
• Monitor daily income and expenses from hotel departments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets
• Manage payroll, statutory deductions, and staff claims
• Oversee inventory and asset control processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal audits
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and hotel financial policies
• Collaborate with the General Manager and department heads on cost control initiatives

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 - 4 years’ accounting experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
