Job Title: Legal Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Review contract documentation and draft contracts
- Give advice & opinion on legal issues bearing in mind the company’s activities (Sales & Services of Diesel Generators)
- Give advice and opinion on Property & Warehousing issues
- Draft letters & responses to parties in transactions with John Holt Plc., Service & other units.
- Represent Legal Unit in meetings & prepare monthly report
- Liaise with external solicitors on cases in court
- Filing of statutory reports to relevant authorities
- Assist the Company Secretary in other deem fit and any other assignment assigned to him.
Requirements
- Minimum of Second Class Degree in Law
- 5+ years post qualification experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and an ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to details
- A proactive approach to risk management and problem solving
- Good client relationship and ability to work confidently, independently & interact at all levels of the organization.
- Relationship management skills & openness to feedback.
