Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Summary

• The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment in guest rooms, public areas, or private facilities. 
• Duties include cleaning, dusting, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues to ensure comfort and satisfaction for guests or residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock toiletries and amenities.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture and surfaces.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost items.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company cleaning standards.
• Respond promptly to guest or resident requests in a polite and professional manner.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored correctly.
• Assist with laundry services if required.

Key Criteria

• OND, HND or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Other Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices and sanitation standards.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:

• Physically demanding work including standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, often with time-sensitive tasks.
