Job Title: Lifeguard

Location: 11 Yalinga Street, Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and guests by supervising activities in and around the water.
• This includes preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor aquatic activities to ensure the safety of all patrons.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including water rescues and administering first aid or CPR.
• Inspect the pool or beach area and equipment regularly to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain accurate incident and activity reports as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with questions or concerns.
• Participate in regular training and emergency drills.
• Set up and take down poolside equipment as required.

Requirements

• Valid Lifeguard Certification (e.g., Red Cross, RLSS, or equivalent).
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional at all times.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Prior lifeguarding experience preferred, but not always required.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor or indoor aquatic environments, often exposed to sun or humidity.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Prolonged standing, swimming, and physical exertion are required.
