We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Practice Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Medical Director

Position Summary

  • The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Petcare Animal Hospital.
  • This leadership role ensures smooth functioning across all departments, supports the medical team, oversees client relations, manages staff performance, and contributes to strategic planning. 
  • The Practice Manager plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and a culture of care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
Oversee daily administrative and clinical operations to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with best veterinary practices.
  • Manage inventory, facility maintenance, and vendor relations.

Team Leadership & HR Management:

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate support staff and front desk personnel.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of staff.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment with a strong focus on professional growth and staff well-being.

Client Experience & Communication:

  • Ensure high-quality customer service and timely resolution of client concerns.
  • Supervise reception team to ensure appointments, follow-ups, and communication are handled efficiently.
  • Implement systems to gather and respond to client feedback.

Financial Oversight:

  • Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
  • Monitor expenses, manage payroll, and support billing accuracy.
  • Track performance metrics and generate monthly reports for the Medical Director.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, health, and safety standards.
  • Monitor and update medical records and documentation practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passion for animal care and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
