Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• As the Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company operations are managed effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• The ideal candidate will evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes, have a solid background in auditing standards, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based internal audits across various departments and business units and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Developing and implementing audit plans, conducting audits, and analyzing financial operations, systems, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. (e.g., CBN, BOFIA, NDIC)
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of credit risk assessment procedures, including borrower appraisals and adherence to lending policies, to ensure sound decision-making and minimize default risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any Discipline
• Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA certification, is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years in a bank or Microfinance bank or a CBN regulated institution.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the banking and microfinance sectors.
• Strong knowledge of microfinance operations, lending practices, and regulatory frameworks.

Salary
NGN300,000 - NGN350,000 / month.
