Librarian at the Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti

Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, ljero-Ekiti was established by the Ekiti State Government Law (Re-enactment) No 16, 2019. It is located along Epe Road, Ijero-Ekiti, about 50 minutes' drive from the state capital, Ado Ekiti. The Institution translated from the erstwhile School of Health Technology, in January, 2011 and was borne out of the need to produce qualified middle level Health Professionals that will render Primary Health Care Services, in line with the Global Concept of Community Health.

Details

• The College Librarian shall be responsible to the Provost for the administration of the College Library and coordination of Library services.

Qualities and Qualifications
The Candidate for the post of a librarian is expected to possess the following academic qualifications and personal qualities:

• Have a minimum of a University Degree in Library Science and Information (Ph.D in relevant field would be an added advantage).
• Must be a registered member of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria.
• Must be versed in ICT to service the e-library.
• Must have worked in a Tertiary Institution library environment and have risen to the post of a Chief Librarian.
• Must not be more than sixty (60) years of age by 2nd October, 2025.
• Must have a medical certificate of fitness from a Government Hospital.

Terms of Appointment and Conditions of Service

• The appointment is for a single term of five (5) years- Non-renewable. 

Remuneration

• The salary is consolidated and comparable to other Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
• The appointee shall enjoy other benefits of Office as may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council.
