Job Title: Storekeeper / Inventory Officer

Location: Ibeju Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • As a Storekeeper / Inventory Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations of the store by managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and assisting with the maintenance of store facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and database systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, ensuring timely updates to the inventory system.
  • Monitor and track stock movements, ensuring products are stored correctly and organized.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and report any discrepancies.
  • Receive deliveries, verify order accuracy, and ensure products are safely stored in appropriate locations.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and damages, reporting issues to relevant departments.
  • Assist in unloading deliveries and organizing stock within the store or warehouse.
  • Monitor stock levels and request new orders to prevent stockouts, ensuring timely replenishment of high-demand products.
  • Provide regular reports on stock levels, usage, and discrepancies.
  • Report damaged or obsolete stock and assist with stock rotation using FIFO principles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storage facility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards in the storage area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, OND, HND, or BSc in relevant fields such as inventory management, business, or supply chain(additional certifications in logistics or inventory management is a plus).
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations, or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Ability to lift and move products when necessary (physically demanding tasks may be required).
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and responsible.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene standards.
