Job Description
Job Summary:
  • Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, oversees and participates in the daily operations of a departmental or faculty print and mail shop. Coordinates production, maintains and operates machinery, processes outgoing mail.
  • Organizes, distributes and verifies the work of others and participates in their training.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees in the daily operations of a departmental or faculty print and mail shop.
  • Organizes, distributes and verifies the work of others and participates in their training.
  • Coordinates or performs jobs such as printing, inserting, folding, labeling, sealing, metering, shredding and photocopying.
  • Liaises with internal and external departments and individuals.
  • Coordinates all work requests.
  • Prepares customer invoices when required.
  • Provides information on print shop services, stationery requirements and jobs in progress.
  • Processes outgoing mail.
  • Maintains records of postage costs for areas and departments.
  • Ensures availability of funds in postage machine.
  • Keeps up-to-date with postal regulations and tariffs.
  • Meets with sales representatives to discuss requirements, products and prices.
  • Orders supplies and parts.
  • Ensures adherence to safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience on the job to perform satisfactorily: 6 Months
  • Experience with PC’s and Microsoft Office software products
  • Good customer service and communication skills
Education and Experience
  • First Degree or equivalent.
  • One or more years of experience as a Printing/Mail Customer Service Representative.
  • Ability to apply a variety of written instructions furnished in written or oral form; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural manuals, and work orders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills-team player, able to supervisor others as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
