We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: 2D/ 3D Animator
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Job Purpose
- As animator, your main task is to create feature level animations using defined cultural themes especially for kids.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Create and animated characters, environments and effects for children's educational resources
- Develop and manage asset pipelines
- Meet project milestones and deadline set by the team
- Work with a team of writers, concept artists, sound engineers, voice-over artists on storyboards/animatic to bring characters to life
- Animate concepts to meet defined audiences and themes
- Demonstrate a strong sense of performance posing, timing, weight and lip sync
- Deliver quality work in a timely manner
Person Specification
- Proficiency in 2D or 3D modeling and animation tools such as Toon Boom, Adobe Flash, Autodesk Maya, Blender (please indicate the software you're most proficient at)
- Have good drawing skills using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience with an animation studio or participation in an animated short is an added advantage
- Great communication skills and enjoy working in a team
- Knowledge of After Effects is also an advantage
- Have a good working knowledge and understanding of the animation production cycle for multiple media/platforms (web, tv, games)
- Flexibility to develop animations for various uses - games, videos etc.
- This is a full-time role and the candidate will be an essential member of the team and therefore needs to be willing to hit the ground running from day 1.
