Job Summary
  • The main purpose of the role is to drive and increase sales.The CO will take full ownership for driving revenue as the company looks to continue doubling turnover on an annual basis with an ambition to capture a significant share of market within the next 5 years.
  • The Commercial Officer will work on major kiakiagas Group initiatives and in all business operations areas including the brand websites, content management, management information, customer care, product upload management.
  • An exciting and very challenging role, the CO will be given the freedom to make their mark on the company, customers, sellers and brands, and have the opportunity to recruit and lead the best team for the job.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • Owning and implementing the company’s sales strategy encompassing marketing, technology, data analysis and financials.
  • Delivering company revenue targets
  • Cost effective acquisition and retention of customers
  • Definition of the analytical and reporting standards necessary to make best use of the data and information which informs strategic thinking and management decision making
  • Identifying new potential revenue streams, gathering intelligence on these areas and assessing each opportunity
  • Have experience in carrying out promotional campaigns
  • E-commerce online marketing experience
  • Strong experience with SEO, SEM, affiliate marketing, social media, PPC, and other online marketing efforts
  • Experience in creative design and usability principles, including mobile and social media platforms
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts with multiple vendors, partners, outsourcing agents and in-house team members.

Desired Experience
  • Demonstrable experience developing and implementing commercial, creative multi-channel marketing and/or commerce strategy within a start-up / high growth Ecommerce company
  • Strategic mind; able to rise above the day-to-day and think deeply about customers and their digital experience, seeing the world through their eyes.
  • P&L responsibility and a track record of exceptional commercial achievement within a start-up online retail environment
  • Proven ability to deliver effective customer acquisition & retention activities
  • Significant technical understanding of e-commerce and emerging digital technologies
  • Commercially astute, familiarity with online analytical tools and a clear focus on profit
  • Strong team player, able to influence across a cross-section of disciplines and staff levels
  • Track record of managing and delivering large projects on time, on budget and to the expected standard
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • People management and development experience, along with a philosophy of leading by example
  • Results-driven, with a high level of initiative and proven track record of delivering success through teamwork
  • Friendly, confident, customer obsessed with a can-do attitude, highly organized, motivated and determined individual.
  • Must be highly numerate and confident in the use and challenge of data and its analysis.
