Job Title: Investigation/Reconciliation Officer

Job Description
To deliver service and support to customers by assisting in the smooth processing of transactions in the following areas:
  • Reconciliation/Investigations
  • Ensure compliance of all internal procedures and operational controls

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain secure and sustainable control environment through effective management of Operational Risks, Group and Country regulatory guidelines. Introduce relevant systems, procedures and controls to support them
  • Maintain and reconcile all nostro accounts owned by the bank
  • Manage, maintain and reconcile internal suspense accounts under the ownership of Central support.
  • Provide support to Group Recons Hub (GRH) to ensure smooth running of Nigeria recons operations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key internal customers by anticipating their needs, and ensuring that service standards meet their requirements.
  • Maintain statistics and volume trend of Control and Support activities and ensure data is readily available on a monthly basis
  • Review periodically procedures and systems in the unit for improvements and enhancements to ensure increase in productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Good working knowledge of the Bank's products and services.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Good analytical skills to analyse, interpret, resolve and change workflow and improve productivity
  • Ability to identify, analyse and manage operational risks
  • Good PC skills - word processing and spreadsheets
  • Exercise clear and sound judgement relating to all aspects of reconciliation
