We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Inspection Officer

Location: Gudu, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of construction sites to monitor work progress and compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Identify and report deviations from project designs, technical standards, and safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, environmental regulations, and occupational safety requirements.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, including photographs, notes, and compliance assessments.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to address and rectify non-conformities.
• Verify that materials and equipment used on-site meet quality and specification standards.
• Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems and procedures.
• Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety practices.
• Assist in the preparation and review of punch lists and final inspection reports before project handover.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions on quality, progress, and site challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management,Architecture or a related field.
• 3 - 7 years experience
• Proven experience in construction supervision, inspection, or site quality control.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA, local building codes).
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant site management/reporting tools.
• Prior experience working in a similar capacity within a real estate development or construction firm.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or Quality Management (ISO 9001) are an added advantage.

Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
