Gas Tech International Limited is an emerging Compressed and Natural Gas organisation situated along the Sagamu-Ore expressway in Ilisan, Ikenne local government area, Ogun State. We are looking to enhance our team with additional talent.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ilisan Remo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Operations & Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

  • To maintain good workspace & plant equipment at both the mother's & daughter’s CNG stations.
  • The Maintenance Engineer will ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all CNG compression, storage, and dispensing equipment. This includes preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of equipment performance to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.

Tasks and Activities of the Role

  • Performs daily inspection and maintenance checklist of the gas and air compressor, dispensers, diesel generators, PRMS and NGV conditions and documents such records.
  • Monitors and records all operating parameters of the gas and air compressors, diesel generator and reports any abnormality.
  • Monitors all plant equipment with run hour meter to plan for scheduled maintenance on such.
  • Performs periodic maintenance hour service on all operational plant equipment in the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems on compressors, CNG Tube skid’s manifold and PRMS failure.
  • Perform the assembly, installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of plant equipment.
  • Proper and clear reporting of maintenance activities to the maintenance supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in the CNG, oil & gas, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of gas compression systems, piping, valves, instrumentation, and controls.
  • Hands-on experience with reciprocating and screw compressors (e.g., Ariel, Bauer, Ingersoll Rand).
  • Good understanding of PLC-based control systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergencies as needed.
