Job Title: Pharmacy Technician (Community Pharmacy)

Locations: Ikeja - Lagos and Magboro - Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Pharmacy Technician will support the pharmacist in dispensing medications, stock management, and providing customer care.
  • This role ensures daily pharmacy operations run smoothly while maintaining compliance with pharmacy laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the accurate filling, labeling, and dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Provide patients with basic medication information under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Manage inventory: receive, store, and track stock levels of drugs and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order within the dispensary and storage areas.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks like documentation, stock reconciliation, and sales records.
  • Support in re-ordering, checking for expired products, and ensuring FIFO (First-In-First-Out) usage.
  • Handle front-desk duties, attend to walk-in customers, and manage basic over-the-counter inquiries.
  • Uphold pharmacy standards in patient confidentiality, hygiene, and customer care.

Qualifications and Skills

  • HND in Pharmacy Technology or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Valid license from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years' experience in a community or retail pharmacy.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
