Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy machinery used in mining operations.
• The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting and servicing hydraulic systems, engines, and mechanical components of mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy-duty mining equipment
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency
• Work with engine systems, transmissions, suspensions, and braking systems of mining machinery
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations during equipment servicing
• Document all maintenance records and report issues promptly
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize machine performance
• Train and assist junior mechanics when necessary

Requirements

• 5 - 15 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance within mining or industrial settings
• Strong expertise in hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical repairs
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical failures efficiently
• Familiarity with mining equipment brands and repair techniques
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in industrial settings
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
