Overall Responsibilities
  • Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a non-profit international health organization composed of nearly 2500 people from more than 74 nationalities working in 47 countries.
  • Our mission is to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health.
  • Together with our partners, we are helping managers and leaders in developing countries to create stronger management systems that improve health services for the greatest health impact.
Project Summary
  • MSH is currently preparing for an upcoming USAID- funded health system strengthening, maternal, new born and child health and family planning/reproductive health projects in Northern Nigeria.
Specific Responsibilities
  • The Organizational Development Director participates in state level capacity building and systems strengthening initiatives intended to contribute to the sustainability of the program.
  • The Director supervises the OD Unit as well as short- and long-term technical assistance.
  • These operations and processes may include human resource management (including human capacity development and leadership development); financial and other management systems; strategic planning and resource allocation; monitoring and evaluation; and service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of senior level experience senior-level experience providing organizational development and institutional capacity building in several of the following areas: human resource management (including human capacity development and leadership development); financial and other management systems; strategic planning and resource allocation; monitoring and evaluation; and service delivery.
