Job Summary

• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist Trainee to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
• This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and safety-focused industrial laboratory.
• The successful candidate will support chemical analysis, process monitoring, and quality control related to mineral extraction and processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting chemical and physical analysis of mineral samples and raw materials.
• Prepare reagents and standard solutions as directed by the senior chemist.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collect and prepare samples from mining sites in accordance with set procedures.
• Record, interpret, and report test results accurately and timely.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Support research and development activities to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of chemicals and laboratory supplies.
• Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field (Minimum 2:2 or Upper Credit).
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and chemical analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a mining and industrial environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
