Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Location: Ogijo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • A logistics supervisor oversees and coordinates the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods within a supply chain, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • They are responsible for optimizing logistics processes.
  • Their role is crucial for maintaining a smooth flow of productsfrom receiving at Stores, transporting to destination, meeting customer demands, and achieving organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 5 - 10 years work experience.

On-the-job Experience:

  • Major responsibilities of a logistics manager is to organise goods in a warehouse and adhere to very big shipping and delivery timetables.
  • Make it easier to do your everyday tasks by keeping comprehensive/Proper records of the job and keeping them easily accessible for reference.
  • Material to be unloaded and loaded with care and decide on proper loading meeting the product safety and cost of transportation.
  • Adaptability: Minimising any delay in their planned daily activities, Able to continuously modify and rearrange their plans to meet within specified deadlines, they need a high level of flexibility.
  • Leadership/Ownership: Understanding of each employee’s contributions, and properly deal and reply on time with other departments, business partners
  • Record keeping: Proper records with photo etc to be maintained and tracability to be maintained. Daily entry of records in the System.

Must have Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities in solving logistics issues
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
