Job Description
  • To effectively drive FX revenue from clients in order to achieve budget.
  • Understand and follow market dynamics and thus ensuring that the Banks treasury business grows. 
  • Cross-selling fixed income and liability products with the relationship managers in Origination and Client Coverage (OCC).
 
Responsibilities
  • To set up new revenue streams by exploring new market niches and selectively introducing new products. 
  • To assist in setting up a clear and coherent marketing plan. 
  • To set up an aggressive calling plan across existing & potential clients. 
  • To monitor business performance on an ongoing business vis-à-vis budget. 
  • To work closely with OCC with a view to expanding Global Markets franchise. 
  • To ensure that the clients of the Bank are serviced efficiently by quick quotation of rates, quality inputs on the markets and regular contact on telephone etc. 
  • To ensure that necessary steps are taken to address internal control guidelines. 
  • To manage an exclusive list of clients as and when required to do so. 
  • To ensure that the Daily/Weekly Newsletters are sent to the Bank’s Clients regularly. 
  • To ensure all pertaining to the new procedures/ guidelines from the CBN is handled back to back. 
  • To cross sell WB products to the customer base. 
  • To ensure compliance with all applicable Group Compliance Standards and local regulations under the CRM framework

Qualifications & Skills
  • A University degree with a minimum of a Second Class Lower. 
  • A Post Graduate qualification will be an added advantage. 
  • Previous treasury experience is required with a good basic knowledge of the foreign Exchange and Money Markets. 
  • ACI Certification will be an advantage 
  • Should be conversant with all operational aspects of Treasury. 
  • Must posses the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. 
  • Mathematics and computer skills are required. 
  • A sound economic background is a must 
  • Must possess good analytical skills to be able to structure deals. 
  • Must possess excellent Marketing and Communications skills. 
  • Should have good interpersonal skills. 
  • In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
