We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Logistics Officer

Location: Abuja
Type: Full-time/Non-exempt
Division/Department: Logistics
Reporting: Logistics Manager

Job Summary

  • Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the logistics officer shall provide a variety of transportation support to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convey HSCL Staff and Consultants to designated approved locations. 
  • Ensure adequate safety, cleanliness, security, and maintenance of the project vehicle assigned. 
  • Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc. 
  • Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and necessary spare parts. 
  • Plan routes and requirements by studying the schedule or ad-hoc request by the office. 
  • Ensure passengers adhere to all road safety regulations.
  • Fulfill special requests by picking up and delivering items as directed and running errands.     
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • A minimum SSCE certificate is required. 
  • A valid driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely. 
  • Proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations.
  • Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule.
  • Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy luggage, packages, and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicle.
