Job Summary

  • A rapidly expanding retail store with locations in Asokoro and Wuse 2, Abuja, is seeking a Head Cashier to join our dynamic team!

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
As a Head Cashier, you'll be at the heart of our sales operations, ensuring smooth transactions and top-notch customer service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and training cashiers: You'll be the go-to person for our cashier team, guiding them to excel in their roles and adhere to company policies.
  • Managing daily cash operations: This includes accurate cash handling, ensuring proper float management, and handling discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation of sales reports: You'll be responsible for balancing end-of-day or end-of-shift sales, ensuring all transactions match the sales reports and that cash, card, and other payment methods are accurately reconciled.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: You'll be the expert in resolving any transaction issues or customer concerns that arise, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction: Leading by example, you'll ensure every customer leaves with a positive experience through efficient and friendly service.
  • Maintaining checkout area standards: Keeping our checkout areas organized, clean, and efficient will be key for smooth operations.
  • Implementing store policies: You'll help enforce store policies related to sales, returns, customer service, and loss prevention.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role, with some leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and interact with customers.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate cash handling, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Proximity to our Asokoro or Wuse 2 locations will be a significant advantage for applicants.

Salary
N60,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
